Amber Mala
Amber Mala, 108, 6mm beads. The Amber mala, aka, Buddhist Prayer Beads, can color varies from clear yellow to darker orange. Amber is formed from ancient, petrified pine tree resin. An Amber Mala is highly prized by Buddhist and Tibetan meditators.
In Tibetan Buddhism, using Amber Malas are treasured as an auspicious substance. The golden yellow color is connected the yellow Buddha family Ratnasambhava, which aids in removing poverty, restoring vital energy, a sense of generosity while subduing egotism, and self-centerness.
Amber is associated with detoxification, and energy clearing. When used for clearing, bless it afterwards by reciting Om Ah Hum three times.
When fresh amber sap is burned as incense by Tibetan and Native Americans it can clean energy in a home, office, temple or retreat center.
Amber is highly prized throughout Europe and Asia because it is considered to be healing and have protective properties, especially for the heart, throat and endocrine system.
Amber should occasionally be exposed to the sun. Many lamas and meditation masters use Amber Malas, or have Malas with amber added to them.
