Reciting in Honor of Guru Rinpoche
Guru Rinpoche, also called Padmasambhava, was the Indian Mahasiddha who helped bring Buddhism to Tibet, and who also authored innumerable terma texts. He strengthened the connection of Buddhism to Tibet over 1,000 years ago by removing many obstacles, taming harmful beings, teaching the Dharma, purifying the many monestaries and giving powerful practices.
He is honored by all meditators, lamas, rinpoches and the Dalai Lama as a guardian of the Theaching. Guru Rinpoche is invoked for protection, blessings and guidance.
